Following the disappointing loss by the Zimbabwe senior national rugby team to Namibia in a 2009 world cup qualifier a fortnight ago, the Under 19 are looking at redeeming the sport's lost pride when they play Tunisia in a junior championship qualifier.
The team will travel to Tunis on Monday.
The under 19's still bubbling with confidence after last year's appearance at the world cup believe they will be a better show from the seniors.
Team manager Tafadzwa Mukadzange says since the team has been to the world cup they are confident of progressing through to the next round.
"Winning is of the utmost importance because it enhances the boys chances of making it through. There is only one team from Africa that will take part at the world competition therefore they have to make every effort to win," she said.
Following the continued relocation of most professional players, rugby is one sport that has been struggling to get to its feet with players opting to play in other leagues across the borders where remuneration is high.
